Poetry Slam Reflection
Honestly poetry was a really hard unit for me because I am not a creative writer and I usually can't think of any good topics. I did have some fun though with the limericks and free verses which fitted my style more because I didn't really have to follow any specific rules. When it came to my presentation, I thought I did a pretty decent job except for accidently saying rat twice for my rhyme instead of cat. I presented in a loud enough voice and I didn't read entirely off my paper. I could of slowed down on the first two lines instead of reading it too fast so the audience can understand me clearly.

Free Verse
Clock ticking down
Tick Tock, Tick Tock
So much sweat running down your face you can almost drown
Blood flowing through your veins
Fourth quarter, down by two, basketball in your hands
This is your chance
Your chance to prove the haters wrong
Prove that you are a big time player
Ten seconds remaining
Dribbling down the court
You notice fear in your defender's eye
This is your chance
You rise up for the shot
From the top of the three point line
You feel the ball rolling slowly off your fingertips
You sense it going in
Swoosh!
The crowd explodes like an atomic bomb
Tick Tock, Tick Tock
So much sweat running down your face you can almost drown
Blood flowing through your veins
Fourth quarter, down by two, basketball in your hands
This is your chance
Your chance to prove the haters wrong
Prove that you are a big time player

Blog Post#10
I do not think schools should combine special ed and general ed students together because the special ed students will keep the general ed behind. Having two separate classes with specific teachers will help the special ed students learn faster one way and the general ed students to learn faster another way. In my opinion, the special ed students will need more attention and if it's one teacher teaching both special ed and general ed students, then it is hard to concentrate and help students.

Tutoring
Honestly I don't have much to say since I didn't really participate in any of the actives today. I pretty much just introduced myself to like 2 kids and they introduced themselves to me. I can see that many of these kids are outgoing and are friendly even though I didn't really talk to them. Next time if there is a next time I should be more active and participate. I also need to maybe start a conversation with some of these kids and make connections.

Blog Post #6 New Years Resolution
My New Years Resolution is to get straight A's and get high test scores for every class. For the first semester I was able to get five A's for my final grade but that's still not a 4.0. I can improve my grades by paying attention to the teacher in class, not procrastinating on homework, find more time to study for test and quizzes, and doing anything extra to gain more points for the highest grade possible.
